FUN TIMES in the ADIRONDACK PARK

Hey Guys,
I'm sorry its been so long for a blog post, we have just been preoccupied with the videos but figured it would be a good time to make a new post. A lot has happened since our last blog post including getting married, going on skiing day trips, Boston, and many other exciting things.

Our latest adventure has brought us up to upstate New York with a few friends to explore what the 6.1 million acre park(bigger than the state of Massachusetts) had to offer. We decided to go up last minute as always. When our friends asked if we had any interest in going snowmobiling with them, as you expected the answer was yes right away.

The Adventures of Chicago

Well for starters I didn't lock the keys in the car and we left in time for the airport! Already off to a great start! We made our way out at 3 and got there early enough to eat and relax. We boarded belted in and before we knew it we were already landing in Chicago. The airport was very big and it took a little to find our way around. We went to the transportation station where 20$ gave us unlimited access to the train and bus around the city which made the trip very affordable. From there we took the train to downtown and started our adventure.

Our first stop was the aquarium so we wouldn't have to wait in line all day. On our way there we went through a College Park and we were all stunned by the view of Lake Michigan, there was just something about the way it complimented the high rise apartments and office buildings. It was breathtaking. By the time we had arrived the line was about 150 people long at 8am. Luckily we were waiting in the shade. Before we knew it we were on our way in to get our bags checked and wait yet again in another line which took about half an hour.

The Maine Problem

This was an unexpected trip that was thought of on my way home from work after being given my first full 2 day weekend off. Prior to this trip I had been to Maine once before and just like usual my lucky was no different than any other day.

We looked online at places to see and the main attractions in Maine (no pun intended) we had always seen pictures of Acadia national park but never got the chance to visit it yet, so we decided to take a two day trip up! We packed our bags Friday night and decided to leave at 4 am the next morning, little did i know... my keys were locked in my car. We found this out when we went to leave in the morning, luckily I have AAA but the wait time was 2 hours and we couldn't waste that much time.

From The Ground Up

Today is the day that we start our combined blog, this is something new to me, I have always wanted to do it but once i tried to start my motivation died because it was too hard but with the proper help from Lucie, it is in progress. I have always wanted to make one because I am very forgetful, all the memories that come along with the travels usually do not stick no matter how important they are. I needed a way to record them all and this was it!
We both come from interesting backgrounds which made us want to continue traveling, That is how we ended up meeting and started to see the world together. My love of traveling started from my parents taking me on weekend trips and vacations in the United States when I was little then started traveling the country by myself for Professional Racquetball tournaments, ever since then i have been hooked on seeing the rest of the world. There is just something about seeing how other people live and seeing the bigger picture, it just makes me feel so alive.
Then I met Lucie and it just clicked, a few weeks later we went on our first trip and since then we have never been the same. Travelling may seem scary, i know it was at first for me just going out there into the unknown away from the comfort of my own home but after many flights and new faces it occurred to me that it wasn't so bad after all just like anything the hardest part is starting.
There have been many people I have met that have been scared to travel due to the fear of the unknown, because lets face it, when you do not know something, its a scary feeling not knowing what will happen. That is why so many dreams are not followed.
